Roses are red, Violets are pink. Boys really make this holiday stink.
People who are beautiful on the inside are never given a chance at relationships. We're deemed 'ugly' and 'unfit' to be dateable. We're thrown away like leftovers. Like broken dolls. Our clockwork isn't rushed nor half-assed, and it works wonderfuly. Unlike girls who act and look the same as everyone else. They don't have such intricate insides. They're a waste. Dolls that are mass produced. Never hand made and unique. I have tried to fit in in the past, but all my efforts went to naught when I was called cruel things. I was even threataned to go back to being a loser like I am or I'd be beaten. I could never be like other girls. It's depressing. Nothing could ever make me like this pathetic excuse for a holiday. Absolutely nothing. I hate the quotes, the cheesy cards, and especially the love. Teens always say they know what love is. They spread that word around so loosely like it's disposeable. I really hate it. If they really want to make Valentine's Day special, then they should really mean it when they say they love someone. That would make for the greatest gift. Actually meaning something when they say it. That would be a first.
Asking me what would be the ideal Valentine's Day would be is probably the most stupid question I've ever heard. I've never had a good one, never will. It's an impossible request to try and think of that. People ask that question, and don't even think for ONCE how the person on the other end of this question feels. Ever think that this person feels lonely? Hated? Bitter? No. Everyone is just automatically happy and so deeply in love and in a relationship. No one is single these days anymore. No one ever feels bad about being single anymore, they aren't. People in this world need to grow up. They need to start thinking about the feelings of other people. Stop biasing everyone. Not every single girl can look at Valentine's Day with a big giddy smile on their faces. No. Some of us cry when the day comes because we feel like absolute shit because we have no hopes of getting ourselves into a relation ship. There is no ideal way to spend Valentine's Day. I can't imagine it with someone else. I can only imagine it sitting in my room alone, my parents out having fun together, and my sister with her boyfriend at his house. I'm alone. I'm always alone. I've given up on finding a boyfriend. I'm ugly and useless. I understand. I'm happy being who I am. I won't change. I'm sad though that boys don't look any deeper than the skin anymore.
Oh look. I've actually got something to say this week. And it's not a story. Nice. How wonderful. Maybe I'll post a story anyways, just because I can. This one was done between my and my friend Mariah, or Mya for short. She's a wonderful girl. First set of writing is mine, hers is second. It's a very slow in progress thing.

“This Job is totally not one for me…”
Despite all his complaining and constant sighing, the job was always done. The nearly worn out 7-11 t-shirt hung loosely over his thick frame, stretched and torn in many places. It was about time to have the boss order in a new one. It was unbuttoned as far as it could go, which was just above where his chest became abdomen. Several of the buttons were missing.
Kaedin’s head fell forward as he leaned upon the service desk, his forehead making contact loudly with the clear plastic containers that kept scratch-and-win lotto tickets. This place was dead. Every once in awhile, there would be a customer, but the area of the city he was located in had no business. Wasn’t New York supposed to be thriving with life? If so, why was it so dead?
He issued a bored moan, peering over his arms and around the store. Nothing looked out of the ordinary. Besides the lack of customers, that is. Another moan escaped from between his lips, this one louder than before. There wasn’t even a single coworker to keep him entertained or occupied or something. Kaedin was not the type to just sit around and mope all day with nothing to do. He needed to move. Some of his old friends used to poke at him saying he had some sort of attention deficit disorder. No; just an insanely short attention span. His head once again made contact with the service desk.
“I hate my job.”
There was a ring as the door swung open from across the store of sorts. The purpose of that being locating itself where it currently was, seemed unknown to even the creature itself. Could one necessarily call it a ‘creature’, if the only thing that looked off was the green hair? Certainly not. There was effort put into the disguise. Slowly, a short man emerged from across the room, standing at the mere height of 5’9. He walked in a sort of funny way, but you couldn’t tell unless you had been watching him the entire time. There was an awkward limp to his left leg. As for his attire; he wore sunglass upon his face, as if to avoid direct eye contact, or to hide something suspicious otherwise. Glancing over his shoulder, he leaned back in his stance, gazing down an alley at something eye catching. While he leaned back, his slim, black jacket moved to reveal flesh torn scars leading from under his jaw line and disappearing back down into the jacket.
He gazed forward, catching the man sitting across from him, banging his head repeatedly against the desk. Though the gesture of narrowing his eyes could not be seen, it was obvious that he was confused by the tilt of his head. Upon further inspection, it appeared that the right side of his mouth has be stitched right up, going up beneath the sunglasses. Perhaps even through the eye, though that could not be directly seen without the removal of his sunglasses. “Why hello, yes?” He greeted, a painful grin stretching across his face. It was never fading, thanks to those very stitches.

And now, back for more Sophie and Byron, my two most frequently used characters.

"It's wet."
"Oh, stop your complaining."
"But the coffin's leaking..."
"The shut the damn door."
"It leaks anyways..."
Such was the conversation between two childish figures, walking amidst the falling rain. Both kids' hair was damp, and any curls were flattened. Not that it was any problem for the male, since his hair was naturally straight. The young fair-skinned brunette, on the other hand, had curls that grown women could only dream of. Now, stright brown hair hung down, clinging to her damp vest of violet silk. The coffin attached to her back didn't do much to protect her from the rain, despite it's marvelous size compared to the child. The one who sat inside of it goaned as he watched the droplets sink in to his flesh-like material, regretting the choice of asking to be carried like this. It would have been easier to switch sizes, though he'd be stuck like that for awhile.
"My lady, are we there yet?" He asked quietly, brushing stray crimson strands out of his only visible eye of gold. The girl looked back over her shoulder, even though she was unable to see past the coffin.
"Byron, we should be there soon. We're on Haven, are we not?" Turning back, her shoulders sagged slightly as she heaved a sigh. Between being wet, lost and cold, this day wasn't awful. If only she could get the box off her back...
"There!" Byron scrambled to his feet, and lunged the girl backwards with the sudden force. "I see it Lady Sophie!" His next words were muffled as both girl and coffing overturned, leaving Byron sputtering in a puddle underneath.
"Thanks, you blubbering idiot."
Sophie had to unstrap the coffin from her back, and heave it up from the ground to get Byron out from under it. He was drenched, and it would take more than a day for him to dry.
"You..." She groaned, hoisting the coffin up onto her shoulder. "Get up, and walk beside me." The tone in Sophie's voice was harsh, and Byron didn't want to see the actions that would follow if he disobeyed. Instead, he latched himself onto the girl's arm. A peice of paper fell out of his sleeve, which had the number of the apartment they had rented out. Oh, how they would act if they knew they had rented it with a pair of strangers.
The two hurried to the building, desparately wanting to get out of the rain. Byron shook his hair out, laughing as it puffed up before deflating.
"Sophie, let's never go in the rain again."
"Agreed."
Strapping on the coffin once again, Sophie forced herself up, happy to have the weight on her back. Over seven years of carrying this thing, and it had basicaly become a part of her. She shiered. Partially from the rain, but mostly the thought of seeing art of her walking around. That would be Byron. He was sort of an extension of her soul, ike Daemons were in that old book. What was it, the golden compass? Yeah, that one. She started walking, Byron still attached to her arm as they finally made it into the foyer of the old building. Sophie breathed in the air of the place. It was warm and damp, smeling of mould no one ever bothered to clean. Seemed like a nice place.
Byron meanwhile, unhooked himself from the girl, and dug around in the pockets on his pants. There were only two, so it wasn't hard to find the peice of paper with the number on it. He handed it to Sophie, who read it quickly and easily found the floor they were going to. Byron, with his all-amazing sense of direction would have lead them down a wrong hall, so it was best Sophie took that job. She stopped suddenly, Byron colliding with her. Both straps on the coffin snapped, and it fell backwards onto the smal puppet, a pool of water going with it.
"Byron, what the hell was that?"
"I'm sorry..."
"Sure you are, dumbass."
"Don't say that Sophie..."
He got himself out from under the oversized thing, propping up against the wall while Sophie dealt with the robotic panel. Her hand was wet, and it kept slipping from the panel, and the voice kept rejecting her. Finally, her inner little girl anger took over and she yelled.
"BUT I RENTED THIS DAMN PLACE!"

I Guess I've Finally Got a Start.
I know this may sound stupid, and completely out there. I honest to god didn’t really know what to write on Friday. I took a story from my email and just pasted it in place of what this is now. People are going to read this in the end, and it’s sort of embarrassing. I would much rather have they read a story than to read my thoughts that are being put into this. Call it an invasion of privacy, if you will. I’ve never really been one to like having people within a certain range of me. There are few who do manage to get in there though.
Like Amy. Same age as me, five inches taller, and with the intelligence that is pretty much unmatched. She’s homeschooled, so it sort of sucks that I can’t hang out with her as much as I would like to. Usually, she’s with her boyfriend, or has some sort of cold, so I’ve been left alone for the past while.
Amy introduced me a year ago to my friend Morgan. Nickname’s Momo. She’s a sweet little American girl who could easily get into college now even though she’s still got two years left in high school. I write stories with her as well. At times our stories can be adventurous, dark, silly, light and airy, or romantic. I usually play the male character in the story since I have the more boyish mentality. Well, by the way I dress it can probably be stated as obvious. It’s because of Momo that I named my blog ‘Forty-Four and Counting’. Over the past year, I have created forty-four characters, each with a distinct personality and appearance. There’s always another character popping up from time to time, adding onto the list.
The two I use most are Sophie Nightingtide and Byron Brightgale. Both are placed in an apocalyptic future, where the world was more or less destroyed. The cities and towns are nothing but stone and rubble. There is no comfort no matter where you go. Always people are moving, or are trying to rebuild buildings for safe havens. No one must wander without a weapon. Sophie, a thirteen year old girl wanders the remnants of England. She’s got a foul mouth and a superiority complex that can’t be matched no matter who you put her up against. She is violent and crude, but will sometimes have unexpected soft moments. Always they are towards her beloved puppet and follower, Byron. There are extreme limits to his movement and survival, and if any of those limits are breeched, both Byron and Sophie take damages. Byron is the complete opposite of his master. He’s sweet and always thinks of other people, though it gets on Sophie’s nerves. He’s either latched onto her, or inside a large coffin like container he’s kept in. Their story is both tragic and comic. In the end, it’s filled with nothing but the blood of others and twisted imaginings of the mind. Most of the stories I use them for come out as horror because of Sophie’s mentality and past.
Another horror couple would be a set of twins. Eciv and Eutriv. Vice and Virtue backwards. Eutriv and Eciv were both born to a realm where demons were allowed to walk the Earth freely. Meaning there is no way there, no way out. It is not our world that both you and I know. The twins were born of a lesser group of demons, and raised quietly inside their home for fifty years. Eciv became bored. She had longed to be a doctor or sorts, wanting to examine the insides of others. Eutriv liked this idea. Eutriv wanted in on this. They would become doctors together. Now, how to start? Ah, their father kept some fun things under the house, they could use those. With a hooked cleaver for Eciv, and a spiked club for Eutriv, the two took out their mother and father, slicing and beating them until they had spilled a sea onto the floor. Both parents had put up a fight, giving the children the wounds which required the stitches. Not that they cared. The pain felt good. What else felt good after that fight? Oh yes, the feeling of innards slipping and sliding down their throats, raw and bloody. Thus began the reign of the Terra twins, who only need raw flesh to survive. Just like most of the clansmen and women. They're always eaten by their young at some point. The Terra clan is made up of carnivores, after all. ...And cannibals. Amy gets a kick out of writing with these two. Momo can’t handle writing with them because of their insanity. Their insanity can prove to be quite fun at times though. Not all of my characters actually have such a brutish mentality though. Others are kindhearted and utterly useless unless played out as side characters. But their hearts are pure no less.
I guess this is all I can really think of typing up for this. Hopefully I’ll be able to think of something that doesn’t describe a story of some sorts next week. That would be nice. Or maybe I’ll continue to leave behind these stories. I mean, it would be nice for people to start to like reading stories that have some sort of flawed character. Unlike in the twilight series where everyone seems to be just made of perfection. Personally, I could rant about the twilight series, but I won’t. There are people who have made brilliant rants about Twilight, and nothing I write can compare to the intelligent things they have to say about the series. I’ll just leave it at this; it’s a badly written series which is poisoning the minds of readers young and old across the country.
Yeah.
Here I shall leave a sample of Sophie and Byron’s story. It’s the meeting between the girl and her puppet, told from Sophie’s view.

Mama... Papa....?" The sound of what were supposed to be quiet footsteps rang through the halls. My parents had told me that their bedroom door was meant to remain shut at all costs many times before. I had always been curious as to what they were hiding in there. It wasn't suprising I was so curious the night it had sung open. The creaking had woken me from the little amount of sleep I had been getting in the past few weeks. My mother and Father were kind people, I suppose. Although, they were restricting. I was never allowed to go outside after lunch or before eleven in the morning. I had just an hour for sunlight every day. This was the law of my mother. Her other law she had set for me was that I had to stay in my room from seven pm to eleven am. We owned no source of entertainment. Books were all I had. No pictures. Just words. Even the covers had been torn off of them. My Father constantly was building me toy puppets, the ones that actually had strings. He could assemble one a day. He had to. Mother kept burning them every time she found me playing. I didn't know why. All I know was that she was protecting me from something. Just three days before my eighth birthay would I actually understand.
I slowly approached the room with caution, shivering. Something wasn't right, but I was so excited to see what kinds of fun stuff they kept in their room. I closed my eyes, inhaled, and reopened them to look around for the first time in the unlocked room. To my horror, my parents had been brutally slaughtered. My mother's lower half had been torn away, leaving just the pelvis and a pool of blood in its place as she leaned against the wall. Obviously she was dead. My father's death was more evident, since his head hung from the ceiling fan, and his limbs had been severed from his body. A silent scream caught in my throat as I dropped to my knees, retching on the floor below me. Only when the sound of cruching and tearing flesh did I look up. A black shadowy figure had placed itself in the middle of the floor, hunched over. It stood much taller than I had been back then, and it's hair was down to it's waist. Was it a man, or a woman? Upon turning to my noise, its deep crimson eyes gleamed in the lowlight. I could see his eyes, yet not his body? What was this madness? It then spoke to me, and I was sure it was a man. The voice boomed, and I could do nothing but scream. I screamed until my voice was gone. I screamed until he went away. That was the only way to get me to stop.
I raced across the floor, not bothering to watch where I stepped, since my vomit had made a bit of a puddle, and blood was everywhere. "Mama! P-papa!" I inhaled, breath and lower lip quivering. "Please tell me this is a bad dream. It is, right mama? Mama? ....MAMA!" I remember that I knew she would never come back no matter how much I cried and begged. I once again dropped to the floor, now staining my white nightgown. My crying stopped when I heard another voice. It was in the room, and caused me to freeze. What if it was that man from only a few moments ago, coming back since my screaming fit had ended? No, he probably would have killed me by now. But why was there more crying than my own in that room? It was a scary thought then, and it's hard to remember what I said next, but it ended with a little boy coming out from under the bed. He wore no clothes, and he seemed to be made of patches. His hair was like a deep red apple, if you wish to describe it in a kind way. He seemed to be about my age, and something was in his hand. I paid no attention to that. I was just glad back then that someone was alive. I went to approach him. He seemed almost to recoil. "Un... " I had squeaked. I began to pull back, planning on placing myself on another wall when the boy spoke. "Are you... her?" Her? I didn't understand what e meant until he asked if I was Sophie. I had no understanding, and all I could do was reply with a meek yes. The boy smiled at me, and came out fully. We were the same height when we sat. I wondered if it was the same for when we stood?
His hand reached out for me, and I remember my left eye developing the feeling of being burned. It hurt so much. I remember clawing at the left side of my face as the bright red markings I have today streaked and curled beneath my skin. The little boy was also in a large amount of pain, except, with his right eye. Not his left. When the pain died down, he handed me the letter, and I read over it, left eye closed. The only words written on the letter were:
Unstrung marionette.
I was confused. My head felt light. I passed out, the words of that shadowed man ringing through my head.
"Hello, I'm your new friend."

Let Us Begin...
Continue on at your own risk.
Colored text is my writing, black text is her writing.
__________________________________________
Alexiel cried out, pressing his hand against the slash on his shoulder. He looked up at the swarming mass of shadows that was once the small girl, horrified. Suddenly he caught a glimpse of color among all the shadows. It was hair, long and lush, strong in its blood red color. Demonic red eyes flickered open, and he could soon make out the silhouette of a person entwined in the shadows.
“Mmm... What beautiful eyes you have, boy.” Hissed the strange creature. That voice! It chilled Alexiel to the bone. It was as though ten different women were speaking at once, accompanied by the sound of a pit filled with angry snakes.
Before he could react any further, a shadow grip was set around his throat, lifting him off the ground and briefly squeezing the air out of him. No matter how he clawed at it, he couldn't seem to get a hold of what had him.
“I think I'll have to take them.” Said the slithery voice, followed by a shrieking cackle that sent Alexiel into a cold sweat. A gleam caught his eye, and he watched as an arm of shadow morphed into a thin pair of silver prongs. He let out a yell as they came closer to his eyes.
“Stop! Release me!” He cried, desperately wishing for the leverage to kick the approaching tools away, but he had no such thing, his hands simply passing through the black arm that gripped him. He closed his eyes, screaming in pain as the prong began pushing against his eyelid.
“STOP!”
Suddenly he opened his eyes, and they glowed with a fury, blasting into the shadows like two focused beams from the sun. The creature screamed in anguish, withdrawing from Alexiel, who fell to the ground, gasping for the sweet air that had been held from him. He pressed his hand against his bleeding eye, wincing in pain. He looked up at the writhing creature with his good eye. The light he emitted from his eyes seemed to have torn holes right through her, which sizzled and smoked. The holes soon melted back together, however, and those terrible red eyes were once again upon him, seething angry.
“Wretched boy! I'll tear you apart!” The shadow woman wailed, shooting thousands of shadowy snakes towards the officer.
“You shouldn't have let me go when you had me!” Told Alexiel, disappearing before the darkness reached him.The monster screetched in anger as the officer vanished, slamming her shadowy vectors into the ground, smashing the cement of the road.
“Show yourself, coward!”
“'I can be just as slippery as the shadows.' Echoed Alexiel's voice as he circled the disgusting monster.” Narrated Alexiel. He smirked as the creature spun in circles, hissing in deranged anger. He continued to taunt her, throwing his voice in every which direction; he never had to move to send her into an even worse howling rage.
Alexiel turned away from the creature and began running; there was no possible way he could fight her alone, he needed his squad, and he couldn't risk being Phazed for too long. The policeman was already uncomfortable with how long he'd been in limbo, as the secondary world he was used to seeing was becoming more prominent. He glanced behind him, feeling as though he was watched, but that was impossible... Or so he thought.Looking behind him, he saw a reptile-like bird following him. The shifting colors of this world and the combination of things that were and were not there disorientated him for the first time in years, and he tripped. The beast too this oppertunity and swooped down, managing to bite into Alexiel's arm. He screamed as the monsters jaws crunched, tearing into his arm. He threw his weight to one side, punching the bird in the head with his other fist. It shrieked in response, releasing him and flying off.
Alexiel was breathing heavily as he sat on the ground, and attempted to re-materialize in his own world, only to realize that the exact opposite was occuring; the secondary world was beginning to take override the first, startling him. He'd never seen this world so clearly...or its Inhabitants, the demonic beings. It seemed they could all see him as well, and what they saw in him was weak and bleeding prey.
“No... No, no, no!” He clenched his eyes tightly, mustering up all the energy he could, picturing his home world, humans, his family, everything that reminded him of it. His heart pounded as he could hear the snarling, the growling and the stomps getting closer.“Home, home, home, home...” He repeated to himself. His leg was suddenly taken by a terrible pain, crunching and chewing sounds invading his ears. His arm was next, it seemed like something was wrapping itself around him. He screamed, and for the first time in years, his stomach did backflips as he Phazed back home. The pain came with him.
Opening his eyes, he was met with two children, each of them donning strange attire. One child, presumably female, wore an odd dress, it's sleeves reaching far past her hands, and chunky black boots. He was stunned to see that one of her eyes were enitrely sewn shut. As his gaze moved to the other, he noted that he was dressed in nearly the exact same matter, the sleeves a gratuitous length. He, too, had a single eye shut, and they both wore white masks over their mouthes. A gleam caught his eye, and his breath became trapped in his throat; both were wielding enourmous weapons. A cleaver for the girl and a spiked club for the boy.“Oh God...” Alexiel breathed, scooting back from the pair. “What have I done?”
-----------------------------
Hunger. Deep, searing hunger. It racked the frail bodies of children and adults all over the crumbling ruins of the small town, stirring them into a lust for fresh blood. Two small beings were the only ones able to fully curb their hunger for a few hours at least. These two small beings just happening to be the most carnivorous of the place. As they did everyday, they took off for a run of the town, bringing their beloved weapons with them. There was a young female, and a male. The female carried a cleaver with a blade nearly her three quarters of her height, while the boy carried a similar-size club donning metal spikes. Both were sharper than any human knife. Not even the blade of a well used tongue could match the piercing skills of the blade and club. The two could have been masters of these weapons by now, had they not been such big things for them to carry around. With such low level skills of the weapons, they were about as useful as a spoon.
The two children were twins, born into the world of the wicked and and the cruel. Most people in this world were humans in hiding, or demons. This was not the world you desired to grow up in. For the twins, this was the most beloved world they could possibly want. Free food everywhere.
"Eciv, at the next corner, turn right." The male spoke, his voice raspy. It was comparable to someone dragging their nails across a chalkboard while playing a broken instrument. Not a truly good comparison, but it was true.
"Yes, I smell it. Our next meal. Let's move Eutriv!" The female didn't have that violin to her voice. Just the nails on the board. It was hard to determine if they could actually smell anything, since they both wore thick masks upon their thin faces. Underneath, both mouths had been slit open at the sides, and stitched poorly back up. The wounds had not even healed, so that if the stitching had come out, their mouths would be able to open much wider than average. The twins took great pride in this, since it allowed them to eat a hell of a lot more than usual.
Eciv came to a dead halt. She pulled the nurses mask down, and took a large inhale of air through her nose. A wicked grin spread across her face, her only visible eye turning to look behind her. She stood at and akward angle, both feet pointed inawrd while her leant backwards. Her arms mere hung there, sleeves and weapon dragging on the ground. "Hey there, Eutriv... Do you smell that?"
The male stopped not too far from her, coming to stand in the same strange pose. His eye flared with hunger as his mask was pulled down, that same cynical sneer passing on his thin face. His head lolled backwards limply to look at his sister. "The smell of foreign blood." His sister copied the motion, laughing maniacally in her shrill voice. "Yes! Yes! It's time to play doctor!" Both stood up slightly straighter, before crouching down like animals. The only difference was that their arms didn't touch the ground. They pushed off with the ground with their weapons, and went flying towards that intoxicating scent.
It didn't take them long to find the being that bled. His scent was so easy to pick out from among the others. "Oh, someone else is hungry..." They said in unison, watching the demonic bird swoop and try to make a catch. Ha. Like that untalented thing could ever catch prey. It usually went for carcasses anyways. Why was it after fresh blood? Eciv left her mask down, and actually began pulling the strings from her mouth. "I want his flesh. It shall be ours. None shall taste the delicacy that he must be!" The string finally left her skin, before she pulled her brother's out for him. Then it was time for the kill. Both shook slightly in excitement as they tore from their placement and opened their jaws. Thier teeth seemed to be a single row, each tooth jagged like a saw. Perfect for tearing up prey. Eciv took the man's shoulder, using her cleaver for balance, while Eutriv merely had to bend over a slight more to clamp down on the man's lower calf.
They took great pleasure in the noises that came with their chewing on his limbs, even refusing to release him while he pulled a strange stunt. For some reason, the world around them shifted and churned, only to stop when it had become somewhere so strange. Eciv blinked slowly, before releasing the man's shoulder. Something was wrong. A pain welled slightly in her stomach, making her double over. Eutriv released as well, sitting down on the ground to look up at the man. The man spoke. "What have I done?" Eutrive growled hoarsely. "I don't know, what have you done?" His head cocked to the side slightly as he pulled up his mask. Eciv stood behind her brother, not even bothing to move her head to glare at this foreigner. Or were they now? They didn't like this situation. More than likely, they'd end up having to kill him. As good as he tasted, there was some sort of aftertaste which made her want to hurl. "You know what? Your blood is just awful. Not even worth a meal." She hissed. Shortly after that, she trembled, and her only visible eye drained of black into red. Eutriv went gold. "Your death will please us."
---------------------
“Damn…”
Grunting in pain, Alexiel was quick to act; he drew his gun with the reflexes of a trained officer, and aimed at the twins, using his legs to push himself away from them as he did, eventually managing to stand.“ ‘Move and you’ll have more bullets in you than you can count.’ Warned the injured officer, unsure whether or not the demon children even knew what a gun was, or how dangerous it could be… They would explode if shot.” Alexiel told, the last part a lie. He just hoped it would keep them from attacking, and him from having to shoot. Damn, was he ever sick of children.
He jumped when a large, lifeless entity fell from the sky, landing between Alexiel and the twins. Looking up, he caught a glimpse of silver from the roof top of the building to his left. Returning his attention to what fell, he squinted at it a moment. That was all he needed to figure out what it was.Alexiel’s gag reflex activated hard, and his hand instantly went to this mouth. He turned away from what he recognized as a mangled corpse, sick to his stomach. Bile burned his throat, leaving a terrible taste in his mouth.“Who?!” He choked out, regaining his composure.
“Who did this!?”
“My, my, officer, I never knew you to be so squeamish.” Chimed a distinctively feminine voice, followed by gentle laughter that echoed out from the ally to Alexiel’s left. The woman’s steps clapped softly against the pavement as she approached, a large hooded cloak engulfing and disguising her figure. The garment shimmered in the light, a deep violet color. Silvery-blonde hair spilled out from the hood, which was quickly enough pulled down by delicate hands, both a shade of ghostly white.
As the hood fell, as did the rest of the guise, leaving a coordinated ensemble of black, accented by deep purples and reds. The outfit was fitted, and obviously meant to enhance stealth. The girl that wore the elaborate attire smiled haughtily, revealing unusual pointed teeth. If those weren’t a tip the alluring female wasn’t human, the white and black striped tail and ears certainly were.“ ‘Haruko, you damn demon.’ Growled Alexiel. ‘What are you doing here? Is this your doing?’ Inquired Alexiel, outraged. “ Alexiel stared down the anthromorphic girl, pointing to the body. He was more than familiar with the slinky demon known as Haruko. She and him were old friends in the game of cat and mouse, as she was a notorious thief.Haruko giggled merrily, padding over to Alexiel. She purred in his ear, holding her hand up to his eyes, which widened as she flashed a blood-splattered golden badge. He instantly recognized the name engraved upon it as one of his officers.
Haruko shrieked as she was thrown roughly to the ground, then pinned, her arms pulled behind her back as Alexiel sat atop her.
“Wretch! You killed him?!” Haruko laughed, though wasn’t able to hide a wince when he gave her arm a sharp tug.“Calm down, big boy. That’s not your officer. It’s someone he was arresting for spousal abuse. And on top of that, he’s not even dead yet… The blood belongs to his wife.” The tiger woman purred, tail flicking back and forth.
“I figured he’d make a wonderful meal. Just look at him; the meat is in near perfect shape, well aged, not an open wound to be seen, and doused in the blood of a young woman. He’s practically a well seasoned steak. A delicacy, if I do say so myself. Irresistible to any feral carnivore, I’m sure.”
Alexiel pushed himself off of Haruko, disgusted. “ ‘It’s always the hot ones who are damn psychotic.’ Alexiel said, brushing himself off. He had to commend her, however, on not killing an innocent. Assuming she wasn‘t lying through those shark-ish teeth of hers.”
Haruko got up to her feet, smiling.“You flatter me. Anyway… “ She turned to the twins, who seemed unsure what to make of the pair, and then glanced suggestively to the body, wearing an 'he’s all yours.' expression.

"Once you die, we'll have to find our way home."
The two charged the blue eyed man, dragging each of their weapons behind them. This is is how things usually went. If the twins couldn't eat something, they'd kill it anyways. This would at least be a cure for their boredom issues.
"Eutriv, what if the man can't understand our language? It's won't be fun to tease then kill him."
"He was speaking our language not just three seconds ago. Eciv, you're so damn stupid."
The girl raised her cleaver above her head, and growled deeply for a girl. But something made her stop as she was about to attempt a swing at Alexiel. She didn't know what a gun was, so she was planning on ignoring that comment and just going for the kill. But both she and her brother stopped. Something caught their attention, but it wasn't visible just yet. Something just at that moment dropped from above them, and landed on the cold hard ground in a heap. Eciv and Eutriv could do nothing but stare at the heap as Alexiel was caught up in his little gagging moment. They knew what it was even before the man had gagged. It was a body, covered in fresh blood.
Both of their heads shot up as a voice sounded, but then they turned left as they found out it was coming from the alleyway. Eciv scrambled over to her brother in a clumsy fashion, dropping the cleaver next to him as she slipped her arms around his waist. He placed an arm around her shoulders. The blue eyed man spoke to the woman in a familiar fashion, calling her 'Haruko'. The man also seemed to narrate himself. Eutriv was dead silent and kept his eye on the woman. She seemed to be pale, even more so than he and his twin. Not to mention that her blond hair nearly matched her skin tone. That's how light it was. What really caught his eye though was the striped ears and tail of black and white. What exactly was she? There was no one who looked like this in his town. A foreigner maybe? He was lost in his own thoughts, and didn't even notice Eciv slip away from him with her cleaver. The young woman turned to face him at that moment. The look on her face made him growl slightly.
He was pulled from his thoughts by a sickening rip of flesh. The gold drained from his eye as it travelled to his sister, whom was trying to yank her cleaver down the body's middle. Her weapon was already drenched in blood from the short yanks she had done. "What are you doing?" He asked, rushing up to her. Eciv looked well pleased as she gave her answer to her twin. "The lady left it here. Obviously she's not going to eat it."
"We still shouldn't eat things that are already dead."
"His heart was beating when I sliced him open~ He was alive~" She muttered melodicly. Eciv dropped her cleaver to the ground, and let her mask hang around her neck. The stitches were still missing from the earlier events. She caressed the man's head, which was the only in tact part of the body, and gently licked some of the blood off of his cheek in a teasing manner.
"You are hungry, are you not brother? And the blood is human. It's a delicacy." A cruel grin spread across her face as she dragged her tongue down the mans neck to the nice hole on the man's chest. By this point her eye was back to pure black as it was earlier. Her mouth opened fully, each sharp tooth ready for her to tear apart the corpse. Her head dropped at a horrifying speed, and came back up in the same manner, the sickening ripping noises of the tearing flesh filling the area. There was now a large chunk missing from the man's thigh. Eciv rolled up her sleeves to get a better grip on the chunk of flesh dangling from her mouth. Eutriv couldn't help himself anymore, and went to join her as he plunged his bare hand into the caracass and took the heart to eat first.
To them, it truly was a delicacy.

Haruko offered a pleasant purr as she watched the demonic children gorge themselves, feline ears twitching as the coarse sounds of tearing flesh reached them. The blood splashing against the pavement was a familiar melody for the anthromorphic woman. Goose bumps rose on her arm.
“I always have liked the sound of a predator enjoying a kill.” She admitted. Her ears fell back, however, when erratic gagging caught her attention. Her lips curved downward in a disapproving frown as she watched Alexiel vomit.
“Really, officer. Have some self respect.” Haruko scolded, kicking him lightly in the side, which didn’t help his queasiness any.
“You…You’re sick… How can you watch that?” Asked Alexiel, biting back the bile threatening to erupt from his stomach. “No, how can you encourage that? Why’re you feeding this things? No, no, screw that. Why are you here to begin with, equipped with a fresh body drenched in blood?” Alexiel continued to rephrase his questions and curse at Haruko, much to her amusement.
“Alexiel, that’s no way to talk to a later. As for why I’m here, well… I’ve always had extraordinary timing and known just what to bring to a party.” She said, smiling brightly. Alexiel was disgusted to see a speck of blood on her corner of Haruko’s mouth; apparently she had had a snack herself.“
‘That’s a lie and you know it…’ Muttered Alexiel flatly, wiping his mouth on his sleeve. He’d have to remember to send the vicious cat his dry-cleaning bill. ‘You’re drooling.’ “ Said Alexiel as he glanced at Haruko’s mouth, where the blood still rested. He felt like it was taunting him. Why were these people-eaters so damn drawn to him?Haruko blinked several times.
“What? No, I’m n-” flicked her tongue over the corner of her mouth, her smile returning when the sweet copper taste registered. “Ah… Well, at least you’re speaking like yourself again. I always miss that bitter annoyance I get when you do that.”
Alexiel ignored her, noticing that the crunching and squishing sounds the twins made as they ate was finished. However, he couldn’t bring himself to look.“ ‘Are they done yet?’ Questioned Alexiel, not bothering to look away from the embroidery on the sleeve of his jacket, which was suddenly extremely interesting.’ “

The crunching of shattered bones was added into the array of stomach churning noises, as they tore apart the ribcage of the corpse to reach his insides. Eciv turned around at the noise of the male gagging, and moved slightly further away from him. The lower half of her face was smeared in blood, and her mouth dripped the crimson liquid mixed with the more viscous liquid of saliva. She bore a scowl on her face, showing her displeasure for the man's noise behind her.
"If you're going to expel your inner juices, do it someplace else. We don't need your poisonous filth near our lunch." Eciv growled, before tossing a severed finger in his direction. Her brother had pulled the body a few feet away shortly beforehand.
Eciv had the more savage tendencies and needed to feed slightly more than Eutriv did, who left most of the organs for his sister. His face looked similar to hers, covered in red. He rose to his feet, and let his sleeves fall back to original length. His clean white shirt was now as stained as the pavement was. He looked to the young woman in front of him, and then to the male.
"Where the hell are we?" He asked roughly, which caused Eciv to stop eating and stand up. Her brother was right in asking. They had originally been in their hometown, in the middle of hunting, but the older man had brought them to a new place within moments. There were demons with powers and stuff, but only a few could teleport to places, and it usually had a range of only one kilometer. But this guy was just a human. Humans shouldn't have had any sort of powers. Then again, his blood was abnormally thick, and tasted awful. But if he was in their town, which was full of rotting corpses and carnivores, how was he so disgusted to see two feeding? Eciv shrugged, and eventually went back to eating.
"I want you to tell us, and take us back before." Eciv's mouth hung open at this statement, and she dropped the lung she had been holding in her hand.
"But brother, this place has humans!" She whined gently, making a face. Her and her brother and both waited for the day when they could pull open and human torso and satiate themselves with the succulent viscera of the human body. Now that they were in an area that they could be sure humans dwelled, they could easily feast until they were full. Why would Eutriv want to go home where all they could feast on were demon remains?
"Remember how long it took our bodies to accept raw meat?" He stated to his twin. Eutriv was right. It took them both at least a week or two before they were able to eat raw meat without stomach pain, and only adding a new thing to their diet would surely do the same as it did before. The man spoke, staring at his sleeve, and Eciv scowled, and threw the lung that she had dropped at the male.
"Yes, we're done eating, you pain." She said flatly. Really, the body was three quarters of the way eaten, and only the male lower half and head remained in full tact. The legs, arms, and torso were torn to shreds. Bone protruded from the chest in places where they had broken the ribs to access the innards. In other words, it was a mess.
